Behaviour Consulting & Training

We offer both training and behaviour services. What's the difference? Which is right for you?

Training is suitable for building new behaviours such as practicing loose lead skills, muzzle training, relaxation skills, building engagement or coming back when called.

Training sessions are NOT suitable for dogs displaying anxiety, aggression, maladaptive behaviours, stereotypic behaviours, attachment/separation, guarding, hyper arousal or new behaviours of concern. These require the services of a behaviour professional.

Training builds skills and a behaviour professional works to modify existing, undesirable or problematic behaviours.

Luckily, we can help with both! However, the pricing will vary depending on the service you require.

We are based in North County Dublin, but offer in-person services in Dublin, Meath, Kildare, Louth and can offer remote sessions for further afield.

Behaviour Consulting

Consult + Program + Follow-up

Niamh comes to your home for the initial consultation, which can last 90 minutes or more (allow some extra time, there's lots to unpack!)


Your initial application will be discussed, and we want to set your dog up for success so we'll discuss intros to your dog so they are happy with us being there.


We will then assess the root issues that are causing your dogs continuation of the behaviours you're concerned about, and we can introduce some new skills to support them in developing much safer or less problematic behaviours.


Our aim is to help both of you, so that your relationship is the best it can be, improve your confidence and skills with working on your dog's behaviour, and your dog is in a space where their needs are met.


You'll get a bespoke training program AND a follow-up which can be either virtually, at your home or in an agreed outdoor location.

After your behaviour consultation

A follow-up is already included in the initial consulting process, along with your bespoke program.


Further private training tuition sessions are priced at €90 when conducted in home.


Follow up sessions in external environment in agreed mutual location €75


Further follow up sessions conducted virtually are priced at €70

Virtual

Distance consulting

Virtual Consultations have proven to be exceptionally successful & offer a wealth of benefits dependent on the behaviour we are working with.


Behaviours like separation-related distress are ideal behaviours for virtual consulting.


Full consultation program and behaviour modification program are provided with ongoing online support plus additional, secondary virtual consultation  follow up


Virtual Consultation €180 (on average 1.5 - 2 hrs but not time dependent)

Additional follow ups €70

Training

Ideal for new skills

This is the ideal service if you and your dog are just struggling with one issue such as your dog not coming back when called, pulling on the lead or other general 'manners' type issue.


Guidance & demonstrative training will be provided and a plan for further training sessions will be arranged where necessary to teach you the skills required to help you help your dog on their training journey.


Initial Consultation €120

Follow up Coaching Sessions (1 hour) €65

Travel fees

For Distances over 40km - €30  .  For distance over 70km - €60  .  For Distance over 100km please contact to discuss arrangements as this may require overnight fees

Workshops & Group Classes

90 minute workshops

We love to run workshops and class groups occasionally. Our workshops are single events that last 90 minutes, and we have a few upcoming workshops available:


- Recall workshop

Working on all things 'come when called'! This 90 minute workshop gives you foundation skills to help teach your dog to listen to you.


- Loose lead workshop

90 minutes solely dedicated to teaching your dog to keep that lead loose!


- Scent detection workshop

This one is not to be missed; our brand NEW workshop, where you learn all things olfaction together with your dog. From how to improve their lives by giving them scent games and sniffing puzzles, to a taster of the skills needed to teach a dog to become a scent detection dog.


Each workshop has two trainers present, and only small groups are booked to ensure everyone gets some individualised attention. All workshops and classes come with emailed training plans. Each workshop takes place in St. Annes Park, Clontarf. Registration is required.

We have no continuing class groups at present as we focus on making sure our upcoming workshops have lots of content, support and quality.
